  Clicking Along…

Thanks to everyone who stopped by yesterday and left comments. I spent a lot of time yesterday tweaking the display of these pages. Nothing too obvious, really. I also went through entries as far back as November, categorizing them and properly attributing authorship. It seems that when I imported previous entries that individual authors weren't recognized.

Today, I'll be working on some "user-friendly" features, such as search tips and explaining why one would want to set up an account here. Exciting stuff, I know.

  Bites Migration

Hey folks. I'll be moving over the Bites to Clickable Culture today. This means there will be some small changes to these pages in the short term. I'll post here again when the new stuff is live. Stay tuned :)

EDIT- Well, here it is. You'll notice a completely different look. And a different name. Goodbye, Bites, hello Clickable Culture. We've got categories now, although I've got to go back to each entry and manually file each one. Like that's going to happen...

  Biting Off A Little More

Looks like pMachine is the solution to my next-gen-weblog needs. My plan at this point is to ditch the Bites, but move everything over to a new blog at the underused Clickable Culture site. I've got a new look all chopped up and ready to go, and will be spending the next couple of weeks getting ready for a relaunch.

  No Pants

Loveable and cuddly Mister Pants has hung up his trousers this year, which is a shame, because I just can't get enough East-West culture collisions and other strangeness. In semi-related news, my other oft-visited blog, Camworld, is on indefinite hiatus. What can I do to fill the gap? Besides drive a six-inch nail between my eyes, I mean.

Local yokels Downwithup have added another addition to their archives... On the Road: "One on our right, one on our left, and another closing in fast from behind. Holding our own at 120 kmph, we're suddenly frozen in midair as the trucks roar past, their enormous wheels howling, their towed trailers moaning in the blast."

“America’s Army” blog paints pretty picture:

Wired posted a creepy story today about a weblog written by a guy named "Scorpion" (oooooh) who is stationed in Afghanistan. Seems this blog is merely an exercise in PR, being produced by the US Army on the heels of their "America's Army" game. I'm against using videogames as a recruitment tactic because, as any veteran can tell you, war isn't any fun at all.
