Lately we've heard of a live-blogging effort from World of Warcraft's Blackwing Lair, and the addition of the lands of Azeroth to real-world locales covered by the Metroblogging group. Today, I bring you a machinima newscast (below) that straddles the border between in-game fiction and out-of-game commentary. It's a bit long, but has some amusing moments.

In case you're unable to view the above video, it features player-staged machinima in the style of a real-world news broadcast, with anchorperson, broadcast graphics, and "live" feed from an on-site reporter.

Also of note: Two podcasts related to the player culture, rules, and out-of-game news of WoW. Taverncast is a humorous group podcast, and The Instance! is a 2-man show with better production-values but less comedy. Both podcasts are pretty much intelligible if you aren't a player of World of Warcraft.

This is one of the better World of Warcraft videos I have seen. It's nice to see one that doesn't involve PvP or music videos.

I do agree it was a bit long but still pretty amusing.
