Virtual World Overlord Responds to ‘MJW’ Debacle
Posted 2005-09-02 by Tony Walsh
Philip Rosedale, founder and CEO of Linden Lab, has chimed in on the Second Life public-relations disaster known as the Metaverse Justice Watch. In an official forum post, Rosedale gave his perspective as a Linden in the hopes of soothing community turmoil. Rosedale said that he didn't know that he was meeting with an organized group, that he doesn't put normally put ad-hoc meetings on the in-world event calendar, and that he condones transparency and openness in any such meetings.

"I'm happy to extend this opportunity to meet in a resident-driven way (as opposed to the Linden town halls) with any other group of people who ask" said Rosedale. "I guess if lots of people take us up on that offer, we might at some point run out of time to attend, but again history has generally taught me that people who take the time to organize thoughts and ask for a meeting are usually worth taking the time to meet with. Hopefully that won't change!"
